Operator Training

MTS firmly believes that operator training on some key areas of an Inserter can make the difference between a well-run and a ‘problematic’ machine.  The key areas of training that MTS focus on are:

• The correct procedure for setting up miss and double detection – a documented set up procedure is available free of charge, on request
• Setting the envelope feed
• Adjusting the insert point
• Identifying the correct suckers
• Setting the water system
• Setting the machine to draw single items from the hopper, ranging from thin sheets to brochure thickness
• Understanding the importance of correctly setting the guides to control the material at the insert point
• Where applicable, understanding the principles behind setting up cameras for matching and verification
